MANAGEMENT
Senior Manager (New Businesses - eHealth Vertical) at Telefónica SA (2009-present):
- Led the development of Telemedicine products and services, with a strong focus on remote patient management, and supported operating businesses in Europe and LatAm in their take to market.
- Served as a Product Development Manager for the global eHealth portfolio, in charge of two product fabrics (Telefónica Spain and Telefónica I+D).
- Researched and conceptualised new ideas, and evaluated them objectively from a market and financial standpoint, with special focus on the operating businesses of the Telefónica footprint.
- Reported to the Managing Director of the eHealth Vertical.
Divisional Head (Automóvil Conectado/Networked Vehicles) at Telefónica I+D (2007-2009):
- Grew and consolidated a R&D department created in Q1'07 devoted to communication services for surface transportation vehicles, including the design of its short- and mid/long-term strategy.
- Raised funds from the Corporate Innnovation Plan for a disruptive and a seedbed project. Became a member of the Board of Trustees in both.
- Captured needs from the Telefónica Business Units and prepared preliminary project proposals.
- Established relations with other companies of/participated by Telefónica (O2, Telecom Italia), and served as a link with Telefónica Spain's Innovation Area, Telefónica's Corporate Strategy and Telefónica's Corporate Partnerships Development.
- Managed and encouraged the IPR portfolio of the Division and served as a link with Telefónica I+D's Strategy Department.
- Supervised the design and development of the DRIVE testbed and promoted it though public demonstrations.
- Disseminated the activities, achievements and product ideas of the Division inside the Telefónica Group (innovation events and corporate dissemination) as well as outside (fora, scientific publications, invited speeches and training).
- Reported to the Area Manager and to the Director of Services for the Final User.
Director of Institutional Relations at the Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (2001-2007):
- Planned, designed and executed internal coordination and external visibility activities for the launch and consolidation of the CTTC.
- Edited and coauthored the Functional and Strategic Plans and contributed in presenting reports to Scientific and Business Advisory Boards.
- Elaborated the Annual Activity Report and its presentation to the Steering Committee.
- Designed and executed the rewards program for R&D staff.
- Created and led the Direction of Communication (see COMMUNICATION section below).
- Reported to the Director of the CTTC and to the Regional Government (Generalitat de Catalunya).

COMMUNICATION
Founder of the Direction of Communication at the Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC):
- Designed and executed the 2006-2008 Communication Plan for the CTTC.
- Raised funds through a public-funded project on technological dissemination (ACDC/AGAUR, 2006). Acted as the main researcher in the project.
- Raised funds through a Funding Framework with the Fundación Española de Ciencia y Tecnología (FECYT, 2007).
Chairperson of CTTC's Weekly Seminars (2003-2007).
Editor of CTTC Publications Book series (7 volumes, 2001 to 2006) and Annual Reports (4 volumes, 2003 to 2006).
